ArcelorMittal Zenica is the major producer of long steel products in the Balkan region, with production capacity of nearly one million tonnes per year, and the top foreign investor in the country, having invested over €150 million so far. Being one of the key economic drivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Company directly employs more than 2,400 employees, whereas some 10,000 are indirectly dependant on its operation. In 2014 the Company was the exporter no.1 in the country.

ArcelorMittal Zenica arranges its production in its Coke plant, Sinter plant, Blast furnace, BOF Steel plant, Rolling mills, Energy plant, Transportation department and Central service. The basic assortment includes rebar, wire rod and wire products such as mesh, lattice girders, and classical building reinforcement.

The Company has obtained Certificate for System of Quality Management ISO 9001 (International Organization for Standardization) in 1998 and Certificates for the Systems ISO 14001, Environmental Management System, and OHSAS 18001, Occupational Health and Safety Management in 2010. Being aware of its environmental impact and the importance of environmental protection, ArcelorMittal Zenica has created a long term ecology programme implementing the best available technologies and numerous environmental projects, and has invested nearly €50 million so far.
