FIC Representatives attended 3 rd session of the FBiH Ministry of Finance working group, discussing the topics :

1)Amendments to the Law on Income Tax in terms of:
a) Proposing the progressive income tax rates,
b) The taxation of dividends, and
c) Taxation of capital gain

2) Amendments to the Contributions Law in terms of reducing contributions on the salaries.

FIC representatives attended  the session of Ministry of Finance of FBiH  discussing the White Book 2010/11  recommendations

Ministry of Finance of FBiH, today held the second session of the working group, discussing on the topic of contribution rate per service agreements and service agreements on author's work.

Within this working group, FIC representatives have been discussing White Book 2010/11 and its section about taxes.

Ms. Mubera Brković ( PwC ), Tax Team Leader, has presented the key issues in the area of fiscal policy and requested  the Tax Administration of FBiH for their opinion.

Members of the group agreed that all recommendations within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance of FBiH will be discussed on next sessions that will follow during the February.

After discussions , members of this working group, will develop plan of quick implementation and start working on solving issues listed in White Book 2010/11.

Meeting at the Ministry of Finance of FBiH

Ministry of Finance of FBIH, yesterday held the first session in 2012, of the working group for a consultation regarding amendments to existing regulations and improving the business climate in the FBiH.
In addition to numerous representatives of BIH institutions (Association of Banks, Securities exchange Commission of  FBiH, Association of  Employers of FBiH, Department for Inspection of FBiH, Employment Agency of FBiH, Ministry of Justice of FBiH, and numerous other institutions of importance for economic development in BIH), representatives of the Foreign Investors Council  were formally included on the list of members of this working group. On  yesterday's session, which was introductory to further work, the following was discussed:

• A proposal of amendments of the Ministry of Refugees and Displaced Persons, to the Law and on Amendments to the Law on Income Tax;
• Analysis of the Regulation referring on conditions  that company or legal person must fulfil, in terms of the number of employed workers; 
• Implementation of the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation, Training and Employment of Persons with Disabilities;

One of the conclusions of this meeting was that the White Book 2012/13 will also be discussed in one of the following sessions, and the next one is already scheduled for 24.01.2012.

Thematic session of The House of Representatives of FBiH Parliament

The House of Representatives of FBiH Parliament , held  a thematic session which should result by bringing out the measures for removing administrative barriers to business development in the Federation of BIH.

Representatives of the Foreign Investors Council, who attended this session, Ms. Aida Soko and Mr. Sead Miljković, presented top 8 out of 67 recommendations from the last White Book 2010/11 edition.

Representatives of the Parliament, listened carefully, greeted the initiative and referred to FBiH Government , with the request to prepare the amendments, in order to start the implementation of  the White Book recommendation.

Signed a joint statement between FBiH Government and FIC of BIH, aimed at eliminating barriers to investment

On October 7, 2011, Prime Minister of FBiH, Mr. Nermin Niksic and board member of the Foreign Investors Council  in BIH, Mr. Giulio Morenosigned a joint statement in Sarajevo, in order to remove legal and all other barriers to investment. "By signing this agreement our main intention was to make the FBiH a place of better business conditions and environment",said Mr. Niksic.

Mr. Moreno highlighted that the Foreign Investors Council since the beginning of its work, in different ways and through the publication of "White Book" is trying to point out the problems and priorities for foreign investment in BIH.

Session of the Economic and Social Council today in Sarajevo

Within the Government of FBiH, today in Sarajevo took place a regular session of the Economic - Social Council, for the FBiH. Members of the ESC discussed the initiative of the Government of FBiH, related to White Book, official document of the Foreign Investors Council.
